Weird Elbows

Arbus was an American photographer noted for photographs of marginalized people—dwarfs, giants, transgender people, nudists, circus performers and others whose normality was perceived by the general populace as ugly or surreal. 

It is this type of honesty in images I absolutely love. Where a photography dares to expose the truth. 

"When I point my camera at something, I am asking a question, and the photograph is sometimes an answer." 

 She committed suicide on July 26, 1971, while living in New York City, by ingesting barbiturates and slashing her wrists with a razor. Peace be with you Diane.
